A MESSAGE FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS

This message, as with all other articles in this web site, is written with a genuine concern for the reader. This message is not intended to offend anyone, but oftentimes when the truth is presented, even in love, people will be offended. Nonetheless, I must share the truth, and God will deal with the offended reader on the Day of Judgment, if not before. My hope is that God will deal with the intended readers of this article before the Day of Judgment, and in such a way that will lead to salvation, rather than condemnation.

The vast majority of Roman Catholics have not been saved from their sins and will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. If reading this makes you angry, then doubtless you are one of those who have not been born again (including non-Catholics). But, if you will read on you can learn the way---and the only way---you can avoid being confined to the Lake of Fire in eternal torment. But you must read all of this brief message.

First, however, this article will reveal to you things that you can do that will not save you from your sins and eternal torment, most of which, in some measure, are giving false hope to hundreds of millions of Roman Catholics.

One thing that will not save you is being a member in good standing of the Roman Catholic church.

Another thing that will not save you is to confess your sins to a priest.

Another thing that will not save you is the Mass.

Another thing that will not save you is spending time in Purgatory for you sins. There is no such place as Purgatory.

Another thing that will not save you is praying to Mary or any of the saints. Mary is not the mother of God, she is the mother of the man Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, but God is eternal without beginning or end. Mary was a sinner saved by grace through faith just like anyone else. She was conceived in sin like everyone else because of the fall of Adam. Worshipping Mary or the Pope or anyone (or anything) else besides the one true God is idolatry.

Another thing that will not save you is tithing, or even giving all your money to the church (or to anyone, or any other institution).

Another thing that will not save you is being reared by "good Catholic" parents.

Another thing that will not save you is people praying for you after you die.

Another thing that will not save you is giving money to the church for "indulgences."

Another thing that will not save you is trying to be a "good" person. God will not weigh your good deeds against your bad deeds to see if you can enter into heaven. God says in the Bible that there is no one who is righteous; no, not one. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one is good enough to get into heaven apart from being born again, and saved from their sins. And then it is only because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ that is imputed to those who repent and are born again. The Bible says that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags---absolutely worthless.

Another thing that will not save you is water baptism. A few years ago, I talked with the head monk (abbot) at a Roman Catholic monastery. I asked him if he had been born again. He said he had been baptized. I said that I did not ask him if he had been baptized, but rather had he been born again. He said yes, he had been baptized. I told him that water baptism and being born again were not the same thing. He said that being water baptized was being born again. I told him that in order to be born again he must repent of his sins, turn from everything that he knew was sinful, ask God to forgive him and Jesus Christ to save him, and mean it with all his heart. He said that he was born again by being water baptized. I told him that if I was right and if he never became born again he would be confined in the Lake of Fire in torment for all eternity. He told me he could see that we were not going to get anywhere with the conversation, and that there was no need to continue.

A hundred other things could be listed that will not save you, but you already know from the previous paragraph what you must do to be saved. Nothing else that you do will save you. NOTHING.

May the Lord speak to your heart with the truths in this article and may God grant you repentance unto salvation.
